53rd Human Rights Council Session

The 53rd session of the UN Human Rights Council will take place in person, from 19 June – 14 July 2023 at the UN Palais des Nations in Geneva.
National human rights institutions that are accredited in full compliance with the Paris Principles may attend in person, engage in all agenda items with oral or written interventions, and participate in and host side events and other meetings on the Council sidelines.
The proceedings can also be followed online through a live webcast.
Throughout the session, the Council will host panel discussions, engage in interactive debates with Special Procedure mandate holders, adopt outcome reports from the Universal Periodic Review and consider the appointments of 4 Special Procedures mandate holders.
More than 20 resolutions and other texts on both thematic and country specific topics are expected to be adopted by the Council at the end of its session.
