This symposium is hosted by GANHRI, in collaboration with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the United Nations Development Programme-under the framework of the Tripartite Partnership (TPP).
The event will provide a platform for NHRIs to share good practices and experiences on the protection of environmental human rights defenders and provide examples on the role of NHRIs as promoters of human rights-based approach in climate change action.
The event will also focus on discussing meaningful participation of NHRIs and civic society on international and national platforms of climate talks.
The event will be held online on Zoom. Interpretation will be available in Spanish, French and Arabic.
