
2023 Annual Conference
Public event
The GANHRI 2023 Annual Meeting will be held in person in Geneva on 14-15-16 March 2023 in UN Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
At a time when human rights and those defending them are particularly under pressure, our Annual Meeting will be an opportunity to mark the 30th anniversary of Paris Principles and our global network of NHRIs, and the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, recalling the centrality of human rights in our everyday lives; and highlight the action taken by NHRIs today to address the pressing human rights issues facing communities around the globe.
Meeting hours will be from 10:00 to 18:00 (with lunch break). The program of the events is:
All GANHRI meetings including the Bureau meeting, the General Assembly, Annual Conference and Knowledge Exchange plenary sessions will be interpreted in all four GANHRI languages (Arabic, English, French and Spanish).
The GANHRI Annual Meeting will be held in the temporary conference building Tempus.
The building is accessible from the Peace Gate, which is located next to the alleys of flags.
Due to the ongoing renovation work under the Strategic Heritage Plan of the United Nations Office in Geneva, there are no meeting rooms available for NHRIs, regional networks and partners to host side events during the GANHRI 2023 Annual Meeting.

Bureau members will receive a separate message with the credentials to access the Bureau meeting dedicated page.
Badges to access the UNOG premises
Once registered, meeting participants must obtain an access badge prior to entering the Palais des Nations. Please bring your valid national passport and/or identity card and carry it at all times.
Please note that due to the closing of the Pregny Gate, the access badge is now obtained at the Villa Feuillantines across the road from the Peace Gate (Avenue de la Paix 13, 1211 Genève 10).
Following issuance of a badge, access to the Palais des Nations will be through the Peace Gate “bis”, a new temporary access screening point. Please refer to the plans below indicating the location of Villa Les Feuillantines and how to access the premises through the Peace Gate “bis”.
The Accreditation Office at Villa Les Feuillantines is open from 08:00 to 16:45 (non-stop).
Please allow sufficient time to collect your badge before the meeting as there might be queues at Villa Feuillantines.
