Human rights dimensions of COVID-19 responses

National human rights institutions (NHRIs) continue working to ensure human rights are observed and respected during the COVID-19 pandemic

National human rights institutions (NHRIs) continue working in all regions, to ensure human rights are observed and respected during the COVID-19 pandemic.

By applying their Paris Principles human rights mandate and functions, NHRIs have a critical role in these challenging times.

They can provide advice to State authorities on the human rights dimensions of the situation and monitor and report on State action. They are also critical in ensuring protection of those most vulnerable in our societies.

GANHRI as global network of all NHRIs continues to provide support to its members worldwide in those challenging times.
