Online regional consultations:
From isolation, invisibility and segregation into inclusion of persons with disabilities in the community

The Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) is organising four regional online consultations on deinstitutionalisation. NHRIs with experience or work in promoting independent living, inclusion in the community and deinstitutionalisation of persons with disabilities are encouraged to participate, make statements and provide information to the Committee.
The timelines for the consultations are the following:
1. Regional consultation for European Union, Western European countries and other States, taking place on Tuesday 25 May at 10h00 CET time;
2. Regional consultation for the Caribbean and North American countries, taking place on Tuesday 8 June at 10h00 Kingston, (Jamaica time);
3. Regional consultation for Africa, taking place on Thursday 10 June at 9h00 (Accra time);
4. Regional consultation for Middle East and North Africa, taking place on Wednesday 30 June at 10h00 (Rabat time).
Language interpretation will be available, as well as international sign and CART in English.
