Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) questionnaires to all NHRIs
The Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination will hold a Day of General Discussion on 23 August 2022, in Geneva, during its 107th session (8 to 30 August 2022). The purpose of the Day of General Discussion is to gather contributions for the development of its General Recommendation N° 37 on racial discrimination and the right to health under Article 5 (e)(iv) of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
The Committee would like to invite National Human Rights Institutions to take part in this consultation process and to provide relevant information that the Committee will take into consideration during the preparation of its first draft of its General Recommendation. NHRIs are invited to respond to any of the questions raised in the questionnaire attached to this email or to make a contribution on any other aspects of article 5 (e)(iv) of the Convention deemed relevant.
Written contributions should be sent by email to ohchr-cerd-gr37@un.org prior to Friday, 1 July 2022 in one of the working languages of the Committee (English, French or Spanish) and should be limited to 10 pages. Please note that submissions will be posted on the website of the Committee, except those indicating that are confidential.
