15th International Conference
The Fifteenth International Conference of National Human Rights Institutions will be held in person from 2 to 3 December 2026, in Jordan.
Co-hosted by the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, Jordan’s National Human Rights Centre, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union.

The International Conference is a triennial event that brings together National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) from across the globe to design their roadmaps and commit to joint work for the promotion and protection of human rights.
The theme of the 2026 Conference is: Climate Change, Human Rights, and the Role of National Human Rights Institutions.
The accelerating climate crisis poses profound challenges to human rights protection worldwide. From displacement and food insecurity to the loss of livelihoods and access to clean water, its consequences fall hardest on those already in a position of vulnerability. NHRIs are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between climate action and human rights accountability, including by monitoring impacts, advising governments, and ensuring that no one is left without protection or remedy. This Conference will serve as a global platform for NHRIs to sharpen their collective response and reinforce their commitment to rights-based climate action.
Participation is open to all GANHRI members and invited observers. Registration information and other practical arrangements will be made available below as they become available.
